If you were to sneak in on Lyla asleep this is exactly what you'd see every time...half swaddled with her legs sticking out because she kicks too much, diaper showing...right leg up on the bars (I love that! So cute!), head turned to the right with pacifier in mouth...with the sound machine scratching away.

This was an especially long hike because we didn't read the signs correctly and headed off on a trek looking for a trailhead that was not on our path. We finally gave up and turned around, but on the drive back down the mountain we discovered our error and decided to follow through with our original plans to hike into Lake Boardman. Lyla was a great sport and was content the whole day...dad has himself a little hiker!

Ward Campout

Here we are at the river at Cascade Park.

About an hour after this the sky opened up and rained like crazy. We ended up heading home a little earlier than planned.

After seeing pictures of Lyla's cousin, Noah, sitting in one of these we decided to look for a used one for Lyla. She gets impatient after about 15 minutes, but it sure is a cool while it lasts!

A Trip to Seattle

We decided to head down to the big fountain at the Seattle Center and when we arrived we discovered it was The Bite of Seattle! It was a crazy crowded event, but we had a lot of fun checking out the people and all the food. What a fun surprise.
