Old Man Lyla

Yesterday, Lyla was awake and content for a while in the morning sunshine and put on her best "Old Man" face. She also gave us a glimpse of her pretty hair. We all slept pretty well last night, which was an improvement from the night before. Our first doctor appointment is Wednesday with Dr. Lester in Everett. We're seeing less tar poop and she is still feeding well. Hoping that milk comes in soon so she can really start piggin out. :)

There are lots of proud Aunts, Uncles, Grammas, Great Grammas, and we are very happy that so many of you have enjoyed our little bundle of joy. She is very well loved!

Great Granny Wolfe admiring our precious wonder.
Daddy and Lyla sacked out on the hospital couch. She brought with her the beautiful Spring weather we've enjoyed the last few days. She came home with Nick and Emily about 8pm on the Sunday April 5th and Nick has never driven more carefully in his life. As he described, "I drove even slower than Papa."
Our sweetheart has been breastfeeding well since her first hour out. Dad has had the pleasure of changing 99% of the lovely tar-like diapers so far.
We have been very blessed by all the help from family and friends with food, reinforcements so we can rest, flowers, and the like. THANK YOU!!! It really does take a village.

Welcome to our Blog! This should help y'all keep track of what is going on with our wonderful new edition, Lyla Elise, who joined us at 5:03pm on Saturday April 4th. She weighed in at 7lbs and 10 oz after only about 4hrs of labor at Providence's Women's Pavillion.
