Picking Blackberries

Gramma and Papa have lots of great blackberries at their house. Here we are on a family picking trip. Nick didn't really let her eat that berry! We aren't doing solids quite yet. :)

Afterwards we went to dinner...

Lyla is always so pleasant and content when we are out and about.

Big Girl Bed

Lyla is getting used to her big girl bed in her own room. She has been sleeping MUCH better at night, and we hope she will figure out her naps soon too. She's still pretty restless and wakeful during her daytime sleeping.

She doesn't actually use her binky very often these days...except for as a chew toy.

Out and About

Mom and Lyla go on outings almost everyday. Lyla gets pretty restless at home and when I take her out she is always super calm and observant.

This was a super sunny day on a walk to the grocery store. Check Lyla out as she keeps the shade out of her eyes. Learning how to use her hands is good for more than just playing with toys. :)

Family Vacation to Banks Lake

Last night we returned from long family vacation to Banks Lake. We had a great time staying in Grandma and Grandpa Job's RV...soaking up the sun, BBQing, going on boat rides, taking trips for ice cream, playing Yahtzee, and dodging the mosquitos. The next several posts will give you a glimpse into our time there.

Lyla in her Lifejacket

Lyla was a very good sport (as usual) on all our boat rides. She got a little cranky when we zipped her into her life jacket, but as soon as the motor started up and the waves got us rocking she would fall asleep. She's great!!!

Hike up Steamboat Rock

During our stay at Banks Lake we went on a family hike up Steamboat Rock. Here's a view of the rock from below.

Nick was awesome and carried our little bundle. She was a great hiker and just hung out enjoying the view and taking catnaps.

Long Walk

Emily and Lyla took a long walk down the road to a snack shack on the other side of the state park. It was about 2.4 miles round trip...and definitely worth the chocolate ice cream cone we bought there. :)

Spokane Visit

Before our stay at Banks Lake we stopped by Spokane to for James and Meegan's Wedding. Congratulations guys!

The next morning we visited this beautiful park.
